We feel that every business decision is an opportunity to make a difference in usage and environmental impact. Using cutting-edge technology to reduce waste and gas consumption, we employ two electric furnaces that run up to 10 times more efficiently than the traditional gas furnace. They produce zero Co2 emissions and run on sustainable wind power credits. Each week, approximately 100 pounds of excess glass is recycled for reuse.
Rainwater is collected for rinsing and cooling. Our glass is packed with biodegradable cornstarch peanuts and re-claimed materials. Our office uses post consumer waste paper products and soy-based inks. And we donate at least 15% of our funds annually to eco-minded and health related non-profits.
