Esque Studio is thrilled to announce the appointment of Andi Kovel as its new and singular brand director. As a highly acclaimed designer and artist, Kovel brings a wealth of expertise and a unique perspective to the Esque brand.

Kovel, who previously served as principle design director and partner of Esque Studio, takes the helm as creative director responsible for the design of all product lines and Esque Studio’s corporate image, advertising campaigns and aesthetics.  Having co-founded Esque over twenty five years ago with Justin Parker, her new role will be to dictate the company's creative direction, as well as developing new products and business strategies.

"I am delighted to be leading the brand from my own perspective," said Kovel. "Esque Studio has always been at the forefront of advancing the movement of glass making in the design world, and I am excited to build on that legacy and take the company to expansive heights. With exploration and experimentation of hand crafted glass as the subject and the intention to inspire, astonish and elevate.

Andi Kovel is celebrated internationally as an influential accessory designer and glass blower in addition to appearing on network television and brand campaigns. Andi's background in sculpture, accessory design, and art theory inform her signature style and her recognition as one of the most inventive glass artists working today. Her work has been exhibited and awarded internationally.  Kovel's avant-garde innovations of form and process have won her wide acclaim as a tastemaker of modern design. She has created lines for many brands and clients  including DWR, Anthropolgie and Heath Ceramics. Her work has won numerous awards and has been featured in major publications such as Interior Design Magazine, Time Magazine, Wallpaper and Surface Magazine.

As brand director, Kovel plans too curate a condensed line of unique collectibles and one of a kind lighting designs, to express her iconic style in capture the etherial properties of material and texture in form.  Kovel is also pursuing collaborations with other brands and designers to explore new avenues for growth and innovative applications.  Laying claim to her inventiveness and imagination with curiosity and optimism towards elevating our experiences with matter and environments.

Her new brand launch makes a seamless transition from functional accessories to bespoke lighting and collectible design objects.
