The Puddle Platter is an exercise in pure molten glass—formed by ladling 2150-degree liquid glass and pouring it directly onto a heated marver. The process foregoes blowing, shaping, or tooling; instead, the glass spreads naturally into a thick, rounded puddle reminiscent of water on stone. While still hot, tools gently lift either side, creating subtle handles for effortless movement and signature, soft-edged symmetry.
The color and depth of the piece highlight its fluid origin: no two platters are ever alike, with each surface and contour a spontaneous record of pour and gravity. Finished without direct touch, the Puddle Platter is a sculptural centerpiece that celebrates the fundamental beauty of glass in motion
- Approximate Dimensions: Small 10" x 10" x 2" / Large 12" x 12" x 2"
- Please note: Each Puddle Platter Glass is individually ladled, poured, and lifted, resulting in subtle distinctions of edge, form, and handle placement that speak to the authenticity of artisan creation. While your platter will closely resemble those pictured, expect nuanced and unique variations—each is solely yours, with its own natural character and beauty.
