Equal parts sculptural wit and functional lighting, the Sleeping Lamp takes its cue from the offbeat comedy of "Dumb and Dumber" and the irresistible visual of a bird that's "not dead, just resting". Each lamp is hand-blown using a custom mold to form the body; feet and beak are hot-attached for whimsical anatomical accuracy. The bird is designed to rest on its back, feet raised—recalling the sight of a napping animal with a sly twist.
After puntying, the tail end is carefully opened and flared to accommodate a candelabra socket that clips seamlessly into the form. The result is a characterful lamp that lights up any space with playful irreverence and artisanal skill, inviting curiosity, conversation, and a smile.
