Channeling the daring experimentation of 1970s lighting design, the 70’s Suck Pendant celebrates soft sculpture and moody illumination. Each pendant begins as a hand-blown oblong orb in rich opaque color. The glass is then spot-heated with a torch and, instead of blowing, air is pulled back through the pipe—sucking the sides inward to create three dramatic surface dents reminiscent of vintage molded glass.
After shaping, the piece is expertly sandblasted for a satin finish, creating a subtle glow when the pendant is illuminated. The unexpected molding technique and bold geometry pay ironic homage to retro lamp fixtures, making these lights an artistic focal point for contemporary interiors.
- Approximate Dimensions: 12” x 12” x 14”
- Please note: 60W Incandescent or LED buld Max - Bulb not included
- Please note: Each 70's Suck Pendant Light is individually hand blown, so variations in size, shape, color density, and surface details are inherent and celebrated as part of the design.
